Washington, United States

04 Jul 2010 - 04 Jul 2010

Although celebrated all over America, the Independence Day celebrations in Washington DC, the nation's capital, are the biggest and glitziest in the country. The celebrations include a day of concerts, parades, flag-waving and fireworks. The parade begins on Constitution Avenue and 7th Street and consists of marching bands and colourful floats. The day marks the signing of the Declaration of Independence on 4 July 1776 and is a national holiday throughout the country.
