Dok Bua Tong Wild Sunflower Blooming Season ,

The hills and valleys of Mae Hong Son burst into colour as the Dok Bua Tong wild sunflower (Tithonia Diversifolia) comes into full bloom. The incredible natural spectacle attracts large numbers of visitors each year and the Khun Yuam district of Mae Hong Son is considered one of the best areas to view the bloom of these golden-hued flowers.

Getting There
Road: Mae Hong Son town is 925km (580 miles) from Bangkok. Bus: overnight buses connect the town with Bangkok. Air: there are at least three daily flights between Mae Hong Son and Bangkok.
