Until Sun 06 Dec 2009in Guadalajara
Organised by the University of Guadalajara, the annual Book Fair is one of the biggest book fairs in the world and the most important publishing event in the Spanish-speaking world. The large exhibition area is divided into thematic 'islands' so that visitors can easily find their way around the cavernous exhibition halls. In addition to the many books on display, there are also numerous talks and readings by some of the many authors, scholars and artists who attend the event. Each year the fair attracts over 1,500 publishing houses and welcomes over 50,000 visitors each day.
