Spitalfields Winter Festival,

London, United Kingdom

01 Dec 2010 - 31 Dec 2010 Date to be confirmed

Helping to spread a little Christmas cheer, this winter festival includes a great programme of carol singing and musical performances. Many of the events take place in the recently renovated Christ Church Spitalfields which is the perfect environment to hear Christmas carols ringing out. There are afternoon and evening performances and visitors can also blow off a few cobwebs on a number of walks taking in the historic sights that characterise the area. Flanked by the prosperous City of London to the west and one of the most deprived boroughs in the country to the east, Spitalfields is rich in history and positively buzzes with creative energy, which is reflected with this lively event. Another, larger festival takes place in the summer.
