The Willie Clancy Summer School is Ireland's largest traditional music and dance school that attracts students from all over Ireland as well as some from overseas. The event is held every year since 1973 in memory of the great piper and musician Willie Clancy. During the week-long summer school participants attend classes taught by some of the leading experts in Irish music and dance. At the end of the week, participants let their hair down and put into practice what they have been taught at a traditional ceilidh celebration.
