Although drama is the predominant entertainment on the programme, the Clonmel Junction Festival is a vibrant artistic event which includes everything from theatre performances to live music, singing and comedy. There are also a number of art exhibitions that open their doors in the weeks leading up to the event. During the festival the town is transformed with flags and banners decorating the streets and there is a real creative buzz and excitement about the town. This popular festival was first held in 2001 and since then has grown to become one of the most popular events on the town's calendar.
