Fuerteventura Carnival,

Fuerteventura, Spain

Fuerteventura Carnival -
01 Feb 2010 - 31 Mar 2010 Date to be confirmed

From a single day to a full fortnight, almost every town and village on Fuerteventura puts on a show over the carnival season in February and March. The biggest and liveliest of the lot are in Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo. A range of cultural, sporting and musical events take place, but the high spot in each case is the costume parade which includes decorated floats accompanied by dancers and drums. The pace of events accelerates through the evening and the party gets going from midnight onwards. Dancing in fancy dress can go on until dawn. A great atmosphere prevails as locals and tourists alike join the party.
