Occurring as the summer gets into full swing, the town of Dundalk comes alive for its annual Maytime Festival. Attracting visitors from all over the region, the festival puts on a programme of some of the best amateur drama productions from home-grown talent in Ireland as well acts from further afield. Past performers have included a sell-out show from a theatre group in Frankfurt as well as a show by the acclaimed Russian Puppet Theatre. This welcoming event aims to offer something for everyone, young and old alike, with a packed programme of events including a Ladies Morning and fun Children's Events including a special children's art competition with prizes for winning pieces.
