The last witness to the horrors of the Ypres Salient will be the landscape itself. This special exhibition gives voice to the silent fields, recalling the two year period of World War I when the battle front continuously fluctuated between just 4 and 7km (2.4–4.6 miles) of the town centre. Photographs, films and documents bring the silent site of the Ieper Salient to life. Booths allow the visitor to follow the lives of particular individuals through the realities of this terrible conflict. The exhibition takes place in an award winning museum inside the famous Cloth Hall of Ypres
