01 Oct 2009 - 30 Nov 2009 Date to be confirmed

The largest event of its kind in Ireland, each year the Belfast Festival lays on a spectacular fortnight of entertainment, bringing together talented local and international artists and performers. The breadth of this festival really is astonishing and includes theatre, dance, classical music, literature, jazz, comedy, visual arts, folk and popular music. The eclectic programme attracts over 50,000 visitors each year. The festival dates back to the 1970s and over the years has provided a stage for some of the very best performers across many different genres, ranging from musicians such as Ravi Shankar and Jimi Hendrix to comedians such as Rowan Atkinson and Billy Connolly. And with each successive year seeming to somehow get bigger and better than the last, this is a great festival that is not to be missed.
