National Winter Ales Festival,

Manchester, United Kingdom

01 Jan 2010 - 31 Jan 2010 Date to be confirmed

After a two year absence, this popular homage to the humble pint returned to Manchester in 2005 at a new venue in the New Century Hall and since then has gone from strength to strength. The biggest festival of its kind in the northwest, this is the premiere ale event in the region and the best place to sup some fine-tasting winter ales from brewers around the UK. The competition to see who will be crowned this year's Champion Winter Beer of Britain adds a little fun and excitement to proceedings. In addition to the wide range of traditional ales, beers and ciders, visitors can expect a packed programme of live music and entertainment.
