Mind Body Spirit Northern Festival,

Manchester, United Kingdom

01 Oct 2009 - 31 Oct 2009 Date to be confirmed

Following the successes of the original Mind Body Spirit Festivals in London, the Mind Body Spirit Northern Festival was born. Held at Manchester's cavernous Manchester Central centre (formerly G-mex), the first Northern Festival was held in 1996 and since then has grown to become the biggest event of its kind in the north. Like the London festival, during the three-day event visitors can explore the stands and displays of over 100 exhibitors dedicated to alternative healing, healthy lifestyles and spiritual development. Among the many displays at the festival, visitors can learn more about Aura Soma colour systems, Equinox Astrology, vocal mantra or the healing powers of reiki. There are also a series of audience participation sessions, talks and demonstrations covering such topics as holistic farming methods, the practical use of crystals and the power of positive thinking. But it is not all calm and relaxation as a packed entertainment programme includes everything from live music performances to energetic capoeira dance displays.
