On the bank of beautiful Lake Garda, the town of Gardone Riviera is one of the more traditional resorts, famous as the former home of one of Italy's most illustrious writers, Gabriele d'Annunzio. Here in the Teatro Vittoriale a season of orchestral concerts, opera and ballet is held beneath the open summer sky. In this memorable setting, a full and varied programme is performed which in the past has included 'The Merchant of Venice', 'Carmen', 'The Barber of Seville' and 'Swan Lake'.
