Grande Parade de Paris et Chantilly,

Paris, France

31 Dec 2010 - 01 Jan 2011

Inspired by the glitz and razzmatazz of American New Year celebrations, the Grande Parade de Paris et Chantilly puts on spectacular shows of its own to welcome in the New Year. The main anchor of the celebrations is the Grande Parade de Chantilly, 20km (12.5 miles) north of Paris that takes place on New Year's Eve. The following day, the celebrations continue in Paris itself with a New Year's Day procession involving choirs, marching bands and performers. The location of the Grande Parade de Chantilly is always through the streets in the centre of Chantilly whilst the celebrations in Paris move each year with previous locations including Paris Grands Boulevards, Montmartre and Disneyland Paris. Since its inception in 1992, the parade has grown into one of the city's best-loved New Year celebrations and attracts thousands of spectators.

Times
Parades in Chantilly and Paris both begin at 1430 on their respective days.
