Each September, the Cite de la Musique at Parc La Villette hosts this popular festival. The event explores the incredible diversity of the genre with a packed programme ranging from classical through to the weird and wonderful sounds of experimental jazz. For anyone unable to buy a ticket for one of the shows, there are also a number of open-air performances that are free of charge and always attract large and appreciative crowds.
