Over the past few years the interest in sculpture has grown tremendously in Britain. With collectors and museums setting up a number of initiatives to promote the art form, a rich supply of works can now be found in the capital. The London Sculpture Week is one such venture, and was set up by an enterprising group of dealers back in 2004. A range of London galleries take part every year, all offering visitors the chance to see extraordinary sculpture. Varying in both origin and period, there will be works from Europe, China, India and South-East Asia dating from antiquity to the present day.
