The Kite Festival is an annual fundraiser and awareness event organised by the Cape Mental Health, a registered NPO that offers free community based services to adults and children with mental disabilities (both intellectual and psychiatric). Each year thousands of visitors, including international kite flying teams from around the globe, gather at Zandvlei in Muizenberg to witness spectacular show kites, stalls, live entertainment, schools' competitions and much more.
