Outfest - LA Gay and Lesbian Film Festival ,

Los Angeles, United States

01 Jul 2010 - 31 Jul 2010 Date to be confirmed

The Outfest aims to protect gay people's past, showcase their present, and nurture their future by fostering artistic expressions of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) culture and celebrating its transformative social impact on the world. Movies directed by or about LGBT filmed throughout the last 30 years, as well as new releases, are shown during the festival. The Outfest Legacy project is collecting old film prints and other material for permanent preservation and restores damaged films to their initial release form. In partnership with the UCLA Film & Television Archive, the Legacy Project has established the largest publicly-accessible collection of LGBT moving images in the world.
