Red Bull Air Race,

Spectators crowd onto the banks of the River Thames by the iconic O2 building to watch the spectacular Red Bull Air Race - an exciting competition in which the world's top pilots compete against one other in a race based on speed, precision and skill. The objective for the pilots is to navigate a challenging obstacle course in the sky in the fastest possible time. They fly individually against the clock and have to complete tight turns through a slalom course consisting of specially designed 19m (62ft) high pylons, known as 'air gates'.

Where?

The event takes place on the section of The Thames by The O2 building

Getting There

Road: There is no car parking available on the south side of the river so all spectators must arrive via public transport or on foot.
Underground: The closest Tube station is North Greenwich (Jubilee Line).
Water: Visitors can also arrive by River Taxi (Thames Clippers; website: www.thamesclippers.com) from where it is a 5-10 minute walk through The O2 building to the event's main entrance.
