Since its beginning in 1990, the Hong Kong Book Fair has quickly become a must-attend summer event pulling in some 500,000 visitors every year. Book lovers line up to browse through the latest offerings from 400 publishers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Singapore. Particularly popular are the Saturday Night Book Mart, which features extended opening hours until midnight, and the Children's Paradise section. There are also competitions and storytelling sessions, as well as seminars and conferences, and a lot more.
