The Liverpool Comedy Festival is one of the UK's best comedy events, guaranteed to make visitors laugh until it hurts. The festival takes place in venues all over Liverpool and Merseyside bringing joy and laughter to thousands of people. Each year there are about 100 shows in approximately 40 different venues around the city. Comedians who have taken part in the past include Johnny Vegas, Jimmy Carr, Nicholas Parsons, Jackie Mason and Dave Spikey. In addition to stand-up, the festival features films, radio shows, quiz shows, children's shows, plays and pub crawls.
