01 May 2010 - 31 May 2010 Date to be confirmed

The Le Mans French Moto Grand Prix is one of a series of 17 races that make up the Grand Prix motorbike championships. Competitors race on state-of-the-art bikes at incredible speeds in excess of 300kph (185mph). Thousands of spectators descend on the purpose-built track in Le Mans to soak up the sounds or roaring engines and the smells of burning rubber as their racing heroes battle it out to be crowned champion. A 'meeting area' was set up in 2002 that allows spectators to get closer to the stars on a concert stage in the heart of the GP Village - a retail and entertainment area where official race merchandise and memorabilia is also on sale. Racing buffs will enjoy being able to get closer to the bikes themselves at the Mechanical Show held in the pit on the Saturday night. After the racing during the day, the GP Village comes alive each evening with live rock and blues bands performing for the lively crowds.

Times
Warm-up races begin at 0900; evening concerts begin at 2145.
