The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition is the largest open contemporary art exhibition in the world, drawing together a wide range of new work by both established and unknown living artists. Held annually since the Royal Academy's foundation in 1768, the Summer Exhibition is a unique showcase for art of all styles and media, encompassing paintings, sculpture, prints and architectural models. An essential part of the London art calendar, the show draws over 120,000 visitors during its three-month run.

Getting There

Underground: The closest tube stations are Piccadilly (on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines) and Green Park (on the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines). Oxford Circus and Bond Street are the nearest tube stations on the Central Line. Both are approximately 5 minute's walk away.
