St Patrick's Day Parade,

Minneapolis, United States

01 Mar 2011 - 31 Mar 2011 Date to be confirmed

Each year Minneapolis paints the town green for its annual St Patrick's Day parade. In a wonderful celebration of all things Irish, the city hosts a colourful parade that includes traditional Irish music and dancers, decorated floats and revellers garbed head-to-toe in green outfits, all in honour of the Emerald Isle's patron saint. The event was first held back in 1969 and has grown to become a popular fixture in the city's events calendar.

Parade starts 1830.
