Many admirers say that Loch Lomond Golf Course is the most beautiful in Britain, and it is here that the Barclays Scottish Open is played each year. One of the pre-eminent international tournaments on the European Tour, it attracts an outstanding field of players from around the world. As well as great-looking, this is one of the world's top golf courses that presents golfers with some famously tricky holes. It is set in 243 hectares (660 acres) of the Clan Colquhoun estate and is surrounded by spectacular woodland, loch and mountain scenery.

Getting There

Road: A82; 32km (20 miles) northwest of Glasgow
Rail: The nearest station is Balloch which is about 8km (5 miles) south of the course. There is a connecting bus to the tournament from the station
