Aix-en-Provence Festival,

Aix-en-Provence, France

01 Jul 2010 - 31 Jul 2010 Date to be confirmed

The Aix-en-Provence Festival is traditionally associated with Mozart and puts on a programme of classical music inspired by the legendary composer's extraordinary talent and creativity. As well as performances of some of Mozart's best-loved work, the three-week event also includes pieces by some of the world's other great classical composers including Rossini, Offenbach and Wagner. The first festival was held in 1948 and included only a handful of concerts. It has grown every year since and has become one of the region's most successful classical music events. Held in this beautiful city in the south of France, the festival features plenty of other attractions, including numerous food and drink stalls.
