Tacoma Freedom Fair,

Set along a 3km (2 miles) stretch of the Ruston Way waterfront, the Tacoma Freedom Fair celebrates American Independence day with wide-ranging programme of events. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a lively entertainment programme that includes musical performances ranging from country and rock to jazz and reggae. Other attractions include an open-air market, arts and crafts stalls, an international food court and a lively kids' carnival with sports events and entertainment. Some of the most popular highlights include the dazzling Tacoma Air Show and the Emerald Queen Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza which brings the day to a rapturous end.

Getting There

Road/bus: Park free at one of the designated park and ride lots and take the Pierce Transit Fourth July Express Service bus to the main entrance of the Freedom Fair at North 30th and McCarver Street in Old Town Tacoma. The service starts at 1000 and buses run every 15 minutes to and from Tacoma Community Collage bus center and from the Tacoma Dome Station.
