01 May 2010 - 30 May 2010 Date to be confirmed

A statue of Peter Pan recalls the birthplace of his creator, JM Barrie, in the pretty red sandstone town of Kirriemuir. This is the relaxing, attractive base from which 20-odd organised walks sally forth during the Angus Glens Walking Festival, a popular event attracting some 400 walkers of all abilities. The Angus Glens reach up from the lowlands (straths) to the high mountains at the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The Glens of Isla, Prosen, Clova, Doll, Lethnot and Esk are among those explored, with experienced leaders pointing out wildlife and other interesting features along the way, before returning to base for a varied programme of evening entertainment. A bus to the start and from the finish is included in the walk prices.
