Festival of Saint John the Baptist, 

Turin, Italy

Each year on 24 June the city of Turin celebrates the Festival of Saint John the Baptist who is the city's patron saint. The day usually begins with religious services and includes a procession, live music and dancing and a lavish banquet. According to Byzantine tradition, this date marks the summer solstice adding extra weight and significance to the occasion.
