Fiesta San Antonio,

With a lively, multi-cultural mix made up of over 100 different events, the 10-day Fiesta San Antonio is one of the biggest festivals in Texas and offers fun and entertainment for visitors of all ages. One of the most popular highlights is a river parade where brightly decorated crafts make their way down the San Antonio River which runs through the heart of the city. The fiesta is held each April in honour of heroes from the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. A great community atmosphere takes over the city and many schools participate in the celebrations. Highlights from a packed cultural programme include the Battle of the Flowers Parade, the Fiesta Flambeau Parade, the Oyster Bake and the Texas Cavaliers River Parade.

Air: San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is located in north central San Antonio, approximately 15 minutes from the downtown central business district. It is easily accessed from the major freeways into and around San Antonio.
