The annual NAIA Pow Wow & Fall Festival is a great celebration of Native American customs and culture and attracts visitors from across the state of Tennessee. Events include traditional Indian food stalls, arts and crafts, jewellery, storytelling, children's games and events, drumming and dancing contests and numerous cultural performances and demonstrations. An opportunity for Native American Indians to come together to celebrate their culture, tourists and visitors are also invited to share and participate in the experience. Always held over the third weekend in October, this hugely popular event has been described as the 'largest Pow Wow east of the Mississippi'.

Getting There

Road: From Nashville, take I-40 East to Mt Juliet Road, Exit 226-A. Go south (right) 10km (6.2 miles) to the main park entrance. Or, take I-24 east to Old Hickory Boulevard, Exit 62. Go north (left) on SR171 10km (6.4 miles) to the main park entrance.
