According to the organisers, this is the biggest lobster festival anywhere in the world. Over the long weekend, approximately 12 tons of whole steamed Maine Lobster meals go on sale to the eager public. Steamed and fried clams, fried shrimp, shrimp cocktail, steamed mussels in wine and vegetable sauce and roast corn are also on the menu. Other events and attractions range from face painting stalls and magicians to live music and craft stalls.
