The Aberdeen International Youth Festival showcases burgeoning talent from around the world, and is one of the highlights of the cultural calendar in Aberdeen. The festival opens with a colourful parade through the city centre to the Aberdeen Music Hall for the Opening Ceremony. 10 days of lively entertainment follow including music, theatre and dance, with events taking place throughout Scotland's North East. From orchestral concerts to steel drums, song recitals and massed choirs to traditional music, ballet to African dance and drumming, opera productions and special events for children - there is something for everyone.
