Friends, family and curious spectators line the length of the 42km (26.2 miles) course to cheer on the runners in the popular Miami Marathon. Runners can also opt for the shorter half marathon which is open to participants who don't have the stamina for the full marathon or who want to walk the course. Both start at the same time and both use the same finishing line, which makes it easy for spectators to catch all the action and soak up the atmosphere at this friendly event that attracts participants from all over the world.
