Boston hosts one of the biggest St Patrick's Day parades in the country, inviting locals and visitors alike to join the celebration of all things Irish. In addition to dancers, pipe musicians and marching bands that make their way through the heart of the city, revellers can also enjoy a range of other attractions and entertainment ranging from children's face painting tents to Guinness-soaked pub crawls. The parade begins in South Boston, a predominantly Irish neighbourhood close to Boston Harbour. A popular crowd pleaser, the Boston Police Gaelic Column perform at the parade each year.
