Aviemore Walking Festival,

Aviemore, United Kingdom

Details to be confirmed

01 May 2009 - 31 May 2009 Date to be confirmed

Since 2002, walkers have been offered the chance to join organised group walks, graded from easy to strenuous, over the 10 days of the Aviemore Walking Festival. The town lies in the broad valley of the River Spey, between the magnificent Cairngorm massif and the Monadhliath mountains - both often capped with snow in spring. Crystal rivers and lochs sparkle from the shadow of the Caledonian Pine Forests while the moors and peat bogs cast their own particular spell. A generous gift pack awaits walkers who register in advance. Indoors there are more restful pursuits at exhibitions, talks, workshops and ceilidhs.
