The Tollwood Festival is a two-season event that brings a great variety of cultural events and entertainment to two distinctive venues in Munich. In summer, a tented spectacular in the Olympic Park offers an exciting mix of international musicians and drama groups, performance artists and concerts. There is a puppet theatre, a literature cafe and various plays and more. Offstage, there is a popular 'Market of Ideas' with handicrafts and cuisine from all over the world. Later in the year, the Winter Festival climaxes with a New Year's Eve Party on 31 December with live bands and DJs, after a Christmas version of the market offering an international bounty of Christmas gift ideas. There is also a food court and a light show.
