Helsinki International Horse Show,

Helsinki, Finland

01 Oct 2009 - 31 Oct 2009 Date to be confirmed

The Helsinki International FIM Horse Show is the biggest annual indoor equestrian event in Finland. A four day competition takes place in the furturistic Hartwall Areena watched by over 40,000 spectators. The 300 horses and 200 riders are the main attraction but Helsinki´s eye-catching flower decorations are justly famous and the light show and music in the Arena enhance the experience further. Show jumping naturally takes centre stage but on Saturday morning the whole performance is dedicated to dressage. Further attractions include the Great Friesian horses performing in quadrille, and a display by the Great Stallions from Holland. Sunday morning features a children's matinee and there is also a Horse Expo with over 60 stands selling everything for the horse owner.
