Each year this cosmopolitan city hosts the fantastic Melbourne International Jazz Festival. Over the course of the 11-day event, visitors are treated to a great range of music by some of the best local, national and international musicians and bands. The programme goes far further than just jazz and includes everything from blues and gospel to Latin jazz and funk. Performances take place in various different venues and some events are free.
