The Cairns Show is three days of fun-packed entertainment as well as a showcase for local businesses. It is the largest regional show in Australia and, although historically its themes were agricultural, pastoral and mining, it has now expanded to include a variety of entertainment. The main arena plays host to extreme sports displays, fireworks and the Queensland pole climbing competition as well as the wood chopping championships. The Heritage Park has displays of living history, a working blacksmith, a chainsaw sculpture, sideshows and a fun park which provide entertainment for all.
