Green March Day is a day of national pride and remembers the day in 1975 when 350,000 unarmed Moroccan civilians, including both men and women, marched into the Western Sahara area to reclaim it for Morocco from Spain. An important symbol of Moroccan nationalism, the day is a national holiday throughout Morocco.
