The world of cartoons and animations are brought to the screens of Rio (and also to some in Sao Paulo) for this popular event which attracts close to 100,000 movie fans. The films and videos are selected from around the world to appeal to a wide range of adults and children. Included in the programming are long and short movies, serials and advertising videos performed in various visual styles, languages and animation techniques. In addition, Anima Mundi offers courses through the year, and free animation workshops, talks, special exhibitions and an internet-based competition during the festival period.
