Biennale of Sydney,

Sydney, Australia

01 Jun 2010 - 31 Aug 2010 Date to be confirmed

Sydney's international festival of contemporary art aims to invigorate and enrich Australian visual culture through a programme involving international and Australian artists, writers, curators, scholars and students. Since 1973 its exhibitions have presented the work of well over 1,000 artists representing countries from all over the world. Each year has a particular theme around which the exhibitions and performances are planned. Large installations can be found in and around town at Sydney's leading museums and galleries but also in more unusual venues such as disused commercial premises. The festival is renowned for showcasing the freshest and most innovative contemporary art from Australia and around the world
