Coromandel, New Zealand

01 Nov 2010 - 21 Dec 2010 Date to be confirmed

The Coromandel Peninsula is the large piece of prime real estate that sticks up into the sea to the east of Auckland. Coromandel launches itself into the Kiwi summer with a compendium of festival events all over the peninsula as part of the build up to Christmas. The Pohutukawa Festival comprises a highly diversified package of linked and individual events. Some of the most popular annual highlights include meetings with the winemakers of the Esk Valley, guided forest and bird wetland walks, the Lakes Resort Golf Tournament, a sculpture exhibition, kite flying events and live music concerts. In addition to this kaleidoscope of activities and entertainment, a number of Pohutukawa Parties take place at various venues, where guests can enjoy an evening meal and drinks along with live music and entertainment in beautiful surroundings.
