Sourdough Rendezvous,

Whitehorse, Canada

01 Feb 2011 - 28 Feb 2011 Date to be confirmed

A winter festival is held in the city of Whitehorse, attracting people from all over the globe for a week of entertainment, fun and friendship in the snowy north. The variety is endless, from spelling competitions to Can Can dancing, but an overall flavour can be gained from a stroll down Main Street: the Flour Packing and One Dog Pull contests are here, as are the popular dogsled races too. In the festival tent there is live entertainment and hot food. Kids Events are nearby while the Snow Sculpture Challenge takes place on Main Street itself. The biggest single event is the air show, with thrilling displays both in the skies and on the tarmac. The Queen Crowning Extravaganza is a fantastic evening, which can be attended by everyone.
