Charlottetown Festival,

Charlottetown, Canada

01 May 2010 - 31 Oct 2010

The Charlottetown Festival takes place at the three stages of the Confederation Centre of the Arts. It features professional musical theatre and free outdoor performances, gallery exhibitions and dining. A feast of laughter and music, some of Canada's finest performers, designers, playwrights, composers, and directors have contributed to the Charlottetown Festival. Since it started, it has sought out and commissioned many new Canadian musicals. The most popular and successful of remains 'Anne of Green Gables' by Island author LM Montgomery. A wonderful family musical, it tells the bittersweet story of a young orphan in search of a loving home.
