Canadian Aboriginal Festival,

Toronto, Canada

01 Nov 2010 - 30 Nov 2010 Date to be confirmed

This is a diverse festival of Aboriginal culture and entertainment, the largest of its type in Canada and one which offers a unique opportunity to learn about North America's native peoples. It is of wide appeal, offering something for people of all ages and backgrounds, including shopping, spectacular dancing, lacrosse, a fashion show, traditional teaching, contemporary music and visual arts. The Pow Wow provides the spectacular highlight, a visually stunning display by nearly 1,000 native dancers with drum and singing groups from across North America. Each of the three Pow Wow ceremonies begins with the Grand Entry, when all dancers enter the Dance Circle for the first time. This most beautiful of native North American ceremonies gives thanks to the Creator for all that Mother Earth provides.
