International Busker Festival,

Halifax, Canada

International Busker Festival - Busker.
Busker.

01 Aug 2010 - 31 Aug 2010 Date to be confirmed

Up to 25 of the best street performers in the world play, act and entertain in a continuous, revolving show on five stages along the waterfront. Over 11 days, around half a million people stroll by to enjoy it all, perhaps stopping off at a beer tent along the way. Children find plenty to occupy their time, too, with face painters and an interactive children's village. A town better known for its quiet historic beauty bursts into noisy life with music, magic and fun for the whole family with this popular open-air festival by the sea. A busker is defined as any kind of street performer, so there are comedians, pavement artists and mime performers too.
