Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival,

Vancouver, Canada

01 May 2010 - 30 Sep 2010 Date to be confirmed

In tented pavilions at an evocative waterfront venue, the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is a season of four professionally-produced plays by Shakespeare performed against a spectacular backdrop of mountains, sea and sky. Throughout the summer, two different plays are presented at each of the 525-seat main stage and the 240-seat Studio Stage. This is one of Canada's largest professional Shakespeare Festivals and offers a unique theatre experience. Established in 1990, the goal was to provide both residents and tourists with affordable, accessible Shakespearean productions of the highest quality. Visitors can also enjoy barbecues and a fireworks display.
