Singapore Food Festival,

The Singapore Food Festival is a huge culinary event that features dishes and delicacies from around the globe. Popular culture also plays a role in this month-long festival that includes a riverboat tea cruise, street shows in Chinatown, Food Venture for kids, and a Vegetarian and Fruits Jamboree. The festival begins with a three-day opening ceremony with music and entertainment. Visitors should also visit Makan Mania where the streets of Parco Bugis Junction are made over in 1960s décor with wooden tables and chairs under canvas shelters and strings of bare light bulbs. Each food zone serves up a unique range of 'street' cuisine.
